Celebrating Leadership: Marcie Rodriguez Joins the RERF Board

ree

At Comal Iron & Metals we believe leadership is about more than guiding a business. It is about caring for people, strengthening communities, and shaping a better future for the industries we serve. That is why we are so proud to share that our CEO, Marcie Rodriguez, has been appointed to the Board of Directors for the Recycling Education and Research Foundation (RERF).

RERF has been serving the recycling industry since 1967, stepping into the spaces that truly matter. Their mission goes beyond research and touches lives. Through scholarships, veterans’ stipends, and funding for innovative projects, RERF invests in people. Since 1991 they have awarded more than 1.6 million dollars in scholarships to over 1,200 students, supported veterans returning to civilian careers, and fueled groundbreaking research that helps move our industry forward.

For Marcie, joining this board is more than a professional milestone. It is a calling to serve in a deeper way. “Recycling is not just about materials, it is about people,” Marcie shared. “RERF’s work proves that when we invest in education, opportunity, and research, we invest in communities. I am honored to help carry this mission forward.”

Her leadership at Comal Iron & Metals has always reflected these values: care for people, dedication to education, and a commitment to doing things right. Now with her voice at the RERF table, Marcie will help ensure the recycling industry continues to grow with compassion, innovation, and purpose.

Please join us in celebrating this exciting chapter. We are grateful to see Marcie’s heart for service recognized on a national level, and we look forward to sharing more about RERF’s important work in the months ahead.
